| 1. Check the
covenants to ensure your proposal is in compliance or that
where it's not in compliance that the covenants permit
waivers. Contact the Architectural
Review Committee if you have questions.
2. Ensure required permits have been obtained from
the parish. Alternatively, the review may be completed
contingent upon receipt of the required permits, but this may
lengthen the process slightly.
3. Submit drawings and copies of required permits for
your planned project to the Architectural Review
Committee. Required drawings include elevations of all
exterior sides and a site plat showing the relationship of
existing and proposed structures to the property and setback
lines. The drawings do not have to be professionally
made; just ensure that the final form of your project is
accurately depicted.
4. The Architectural Review Committee will review the
project for compliance. For proposals that comply with
the covenants, the Architectural Review Committee will return
your approved proposal within a few days.
If your proposal requires a waiver that is allowed by the
covenants, the Architectural Review Committee will present
your proposal to the full Board with a recommendation. A
decision may take as much as 30 days or more in these
cases.
In cases where your proposal does not comply with a non-waiverable
provision of the covenants, the Architectural Review Comittee
will disapprove your proposal and return it to you, with a
written explanation of the decision; normally within a few
days. |
